The problem was always a few awkward individuals in Ulster Hockey who didn't want to investigate the possibility of 'borrowing' the Irish Hockey world ranking for the Commonwealths. There is also the issue of Northern Ireland players being unable to play in the Olympics for Team GB / Team UK. In 1988 when we had two NI players winning Olympic hockey Gold they were able to represent GB, whilst playing for Ireland in other tournaments where England, Scotland and Wales compete separately.Alastairhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06994847514843625016noreply@blogger.com
